In this article, we at the Crimper Blog will show you a very practical, safe, and excellent electrical connection model for you, electrician friend.

How to use the connectors

There are a total of 5 models available, and you have to choose according to the combination of cables to be used in the connection.

The secret is to add the section of the cables that will be used. See the image below:

Gray connector: 0.8 to 2.5 millimeters
Blue connector: 0.8 to 4.5 millimeters
Orange connector: 1.5 to 6.0 millimeters
Yellow connector: 2.5 to 10.0 millimeters
Red connector: 4.5 to 17.0 millimeters

To explain everything in the most objective way possible, we will bring you 4 examples:

Example 1:

We will make a connection using two cables, one 1mm and the other 0.75mm. The sum of the two is 1.75mm, in this case the indicated connector is gray, but nothing prevents using the blue.

Example 2:

In our second example, we will make a connection using two cables, one 1.5mm and the other 2.5mm. The sum of the two cables is 4.0mm, in this case the most indicated is the blue, however the orange can be used, since both meet the final sum of 4.0mm.

Example 3:

For our third and penultimate example, we will use three cables, one 1.0mm, another 1.5mm, and another 4.0mm. In this situation the sum is 6.5mm, so we can use the yellow or red connector.

Example 4:

Now, let’s suppose that we will use four cables, one 1mm, one 1.5mm, one 2.5mm, and the other 4mm, see that in this case the total sum is 9mm, that is, we also have two options to use in this connection, the yellow or red.

Final observations

It is important to check that in most cases we will have two connector options to use. The guidance is always to try to use the connector that has the closest final section to the section found in the sum of the cables and checking the physical space where the connection will be made, since the difference in size of the connectors can be another problem that must be verified in terms of the final space of the connection.

In summary: the secret is to add the section of the cables that will be used, respecting the capacity of each connector in terms of final section of the connection, thus choosing, according to the table above, the correct Crimper twist connector.

In the mission of always ensuring a very safe work, Crimper twist connectors have a completely insulating body, with a spring responsible for making the connection inside. In addition, they are reusable, adding a unique versatility. Started to execute a job and, for some reason, need to remove or add cables? No problem. Just unscrew the connector and reuse it in the same job or, still, use one of another color (capacity) according to your need.
